BharathiRajaa Specialty Hospital has an exclusive Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for Acute Cardiac Care that provides the right kind of ambience for their speedy recovery. The unique aspect of the CCU here is that it is in the same level / floor as Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardio-Thoracic OT and Trans-Esophageal echocardiography facilities are adjacent to each other. This enables any critically ill cardiac patients to be moved to these critical care points in seconds being housed all in the same floor.
Dr.Seetha is heading the Cardiology division. She attends to Out-patient consultation on all days other than weekly holiday on Sunday. However, cardiac emergencies including Primary Angioplasty and in-patient services are offered 24 X 7. The Cardiology unit of non-invasive cardiology laboratory has latest advanced echocardiography machine with facilities for 2D and 3D echocardiography, color Doppler and tissue Doppler. Transesophageal echo and Dobutamine stress echocardiography are routinely performed in our echo-lab. Other non-invasive facilities available are Computerized programmed Treadmill exercise Stress test, Ambulatory 24-48 hrs Holter study, Ambulatory BP monitoring and Head-up tilt test etc.
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory houses the most advanced Digital flat-panel Cardiac GE Innova 2100 system that allows angiographic imaging to its vivid clarity from head to foot of any part of the vascular system. There is also least radiation exposure to the patient subjects.
Cathlab wing of BharathiRajaa Heart foundation with full infra-Structure offers most of the angiography and interventional procedures on a day-case basis by allowing the patients to undergo such treatment through the trans-radial (radial access) approach. The interventional therapeutic procedures are being conducted with high degree of success.
